Having paid for the CD I waited 3 weeks without receiving anything. I contacted funrecords by e-mail only to be told that it had probably gone astray and that unless they received it back as returned parcel I'd more or less had my chips. I sent several more e-mails pointing out that my contract/order was with them not their courier /postal service and that they were obliged to send me a replacement. I've heard nothing back from them for the best part of a week now so I shall be contacting my credit card company to seek redress from them. Over the yaers I have bought Cd's from all over the world and this is without doubt the worst shopping experience I have had. If there was a feedback rating under 1 Star then even that would be 1 star too many. Ian Minton

I placed an order with Fun Records for 2 CD singles. After 2 weeks, there was no contact made from Fun Records. I then sent an e-mail (via the link on the Netscape site), regarding the order status. There was no response. I then had to ask Netsounds to find out what was going on. I was then told my order would soon be shipped. My order eventually arrived with only 1 of the 2 CD singles. I sent another e-mail to Fun Records, regarding the where abouts of the other CD single. The response was :- "Hello, we will send you a mail when the order is processed and sent. Yours, Patricia Schult http://www.funrecords.de" Now, 1 month after the order was originally placed, there is still no sign of the 2nd CD, or, if and when it will be sent. To make matters worse still, I enquired about the contents of another CD, as this information was not listed on the web-site, and the response was:- "Hello, we are discount seller and cannot provide any further informations about items." My advise, don't bother with Fun Records. As another buyer has already stated, the Fun is that your custom is a joke to them! Suddenly, the poor level of customer service we receive from UK retailers, doesn't seem so bad after all!

Absolutely terrible. More than a month after taking payment, still no CD. Seller claiming that it's lost in post but will not confirm the address to which it was sent or the class of mailing used. Response time to enquiries is very, very poor and the seller avoided answering all but one of the questions I asked. Thankfully, the payment was processed by Netsounds, which means that I received a refund. Had it not been for Netsounds, I would have lost my money to a seller devoid of any kind of customer satisfaction policy. Please think very, very carefully before ordering an item from Fun Records (funrec).

They didn't expect a German customer orders here on netsounds and were not willing to charge correct German shipping rates as actually determined on their other sites. Wanted to charge higher UK rates, making excuses by saying they are bound by the rules of netsounds. Absolutely untrue. When I complained they cancelled my order high-handedly (2 weeks after my order!) despite my note I want it in any case! Tried to rip me off in every way: had ordered this item from them on another site, was told it's outsold. Untrue. It is listed here, just for a higher price. As a German myself I know you cannot expect service from our sellers. Still, I am highly annoyed and disappointed by Fun Records. I've been a good customer for more than 1 year now and they treat me like that. THANK YOU!

This seller is the worst i have seen on the internet. I was looking for the Morrissey 'boy racer' 5-track single. Their description was very vague...no catalog numbers or anything. I stated only send if it was the 5-track version CD. The CD was expensive, at $20 and they charged $7.50 for shipping to the USA (which actually cost them about $2), it took 6 weeks to arrive, because it was sent surface mail. Needless to say, the CD was not the one I ordered. Asked for a refund, and was told that it was my fault that I ordered the wrong disc! Returned for refund...and claim they 'never got it'. Avoid like the plaque!

CD was a bit scratched, nothing major though.... took 2 and a half weeks to arrive, so not too bad. My only real gripe would be the £4.50 charged to send a CD to the UK from Germany... yes, yes, I knew what it would be beforehand, but going the other way a CD costs about £1.00/£1.20 to send. Maybe they should consider charging closer to the actual cost, but other than that, I'd say that Fun Records are, well, OK.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, my Wavelength LP arrived in quick time and was in excellent condition. I think the postage of £4.50 is jusified as it was extremely well packaged and had to be posted from Germany. I have used Fun Records previously and will continue to do so for a long time. A1+++++

These guys are not the best at communication BUT I recieved all of my records quickly and in perfect condition (one of which I have been after for years!). If you don't mind a slight lack in communication (they did confirm reciept of order, payment and shipment, they just took a bit to answer questions) I honestly could not reccomend Fun Records Highly enough. Three Ofra Haza items were ordered. In the package that arrived today, there was one of the items I ordered and one that I did not order - the same song, but a different version. I ordered Joe Claussell's Language CD from these guys on 8/11/00. It's now 17/01/01, over two months later, and it's never turned up. The company keep fobbing me off with emails claiming it's about to arrive and telling me to be patient (very bad sign). Every other seller I've used on Netsounds has been honest, prompt and reliable, but not this lot, sadly. I'm currently getting my credit card issuer to get the cash back off them. I ordered 2 records from fun records a few weeks ago, one of which was listed incorrectly. It was listed as Not drowning, waving by the claim. And in their order confirmation this was repeated. When the record arrived it turned out to be claim by Not drowning, waving. I do not want this record and have now emailed fun records 3 times asking what to do. This service is the worse I've ever witnessed. I ordered what was originally listed as Toy Dolls Tesko Lovers stating that they had to confirm it was actually the Toy Dolls. The package took 9 weeks to arrive, was poorly packaged, had writing on cover and it wasn't even by the Toy Dolls, but Toys & Dolls. I ordered a limited edition double cd from fun records (which cost alot of money by the time the high German postage rate was added)and when i got the item it was poorly packaged in just a cardboard box with no bubble wrapping. As a result which didnt surprise me, the item was damaged, i emailed the company and they just replied that they thought they well package their itmes. I stressed that i was not happy about it and they have offered no good will gesture at all. Customer realations very poor indeed.

I am a UK buyer and this is a German dealer. The LP arrived safely and in good condition, accompanied by the dealer's thick catalogue. Why the transaction as a whole rates 'good' and not 'excellent' is that it took so long to process the credit card payment that an order placed on 19 July wasn't delivered until 6 August. Also an observation, not a complaint, is that the shipping charge represented 2/3rd of the total cost.
