| CUSTOMER REVIEWS: | 4/5 - A brilliant start Being a big fan of the likes of Matchbox 20 and Bon Jovi I bought this album based on recommendations and I was not disappointed. There are unmistakeable influences by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and the like but in a way that is refreshing and different. Rooster are young but with unmistakeable talent and full of the enthusiasm that is necessary for this kind of music to ring true. While the hits such as 'Come Get Some' are very catchy and full of attitude I feel it is in songs such as 'Drag The Sunrise Down', 'Joyride' and 'Standing In Line' that they truly show what they can do. While a couple of tracks are obvious crowd pleasers I have to agree that this band has much more to give if they dare to walk their own path and be different. The comparison to Busted I feel is unjust and I doubt that the two bands would attract the same fans, the only thing they may have in common is as mentioned before; their age, and perhaps their energy. But Rooster has a quality to them obvious even in this first album that Busted never had. This is a band to watch, let's just hope they make good on the promise of this album.
5/5 - Rooster Im somebody who likes the calling, the rasmus, black eyed peas and many more.
I waited in anticipation for the rooster album to come out in the shops. listening to Come Get Some and Staring at the sun. which were already playing on the radio. I was already hooked
Hits like Joyride, Standing In Line, To Die For, You're so right for me, Platinum Blind, Deep & Meaningless, On The Road, She Don't Make Me Feel, Angels Calling and Drag The Sunrise Down.
Rocky, Funky, toe tapping including a couple nice ballads thrown in.
basically the kind of album which leaves you wanting more.
SO TURN UP THE VOLUME AND ROCK ON! BUY IT!
5/5 - Brilliant brilliant brilliant There are few albums that I can play first time and think 'Yes!' straight away. This however was one of the few that blew me away first time.
The charismatic voice of Nick Atkinson carries all the songs exactly where they're supposed to go, and can convey allsorts of emotion, from sad and heartbroken as on Staring at the Sun and To Die For, to hard rockin' attitude on 'You're So Right For Me' and 'Come and Get Some'.
The best songs on this album are those mentioned above along with Deep and Meaningless, and Standing in Line.
You can see the Bon Jovi influence, but Rooster are carrying the torch on for this century with a much needed 'kick ass' style that knocks spots off some of the wimpier bands in the charts at the minute.
Great CD to have on full blast in the car; no matter what mood you're in, you can't stop yourself belting the tunes out on your steering wheel while sitting at the traffic lights.
Buy this CD and make the lads rich beyond their wildest dreams!! |
