| CUSTOMER REVIEWS: | 5/5 - A Great Band Love has got to be the most underrated band of all time.
A greatest hits album always leaves out somebodys favorite
song, but this has almost every love song that matters, except
3 or 4. It's a great starting point for someone who wants to check out the band. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.
3/5 - Doesn't make complete justice Love are clearly one of the most mysterious, fascinating and best bands of all time but first time listeners should go directly to their transcending first three albums(preferentially first to "Forever Changes",then to"Da Capo"and then to their debut"Love")and not waste money in best ofs, especially one that leaves out so many essential tracks.
5/5 - Best one stop buy for Love This is a terrific best of album, with most of the songs from 3 different Love albums. Arthur Lee, the lead singer on most songs, is dead now and Bryan McClean, the lead singer on fewer songs, passed away before Arthur did. Sometimes the lyrics are childish and sometimes they are outlandish. But the instrumental backing is always good to great to greatly inspired. For folks who want to know what rock studio music was like in the 60s, this CD is a must. |
