Wein works to preserve the Newport festival legacy (AP)

Instead, his biggest concern at the recent festival was whether he could keep up on piano with his Newport All-Stars band during their set on the main stage that preceded performances by Herbie Hancock and Sonny Rollins.

Turner adds new concert dates to tour (Reuters)

Reuters - Tina Turner has added eight concert dates to her upcoming North American tour, which is scheduled to launch October 1 in Kansas City, Mo. The singer's 36-date arena trek wraps with a December 12-13 stand in Toronto.
