| SELLER RESPONDED ON 24/08/05:- An email was sent the day this item was posted.On rare occasions items get lost in the post. Despite the customer declining the signed for mail option we provided full information for the german postal authorites to put a trace on the item. We are also enquiring with Royal Mail on his behalf .The Customer has then applied for a Charge Back before any feedback from either and without letting us know .There has been no request for a second copy to be sent nor for us to confirm his delivery addresse details. Strange behavoir, not a good way to resolve a problem. |

| 20/08/02 | adg | On 8 July, 2002 I ordered a rare LP from Rock Revelations, who graded the product as 'M/M' in condition. On 2 August, 2002 I opened the package and discovered that (1) Rock Revelations shipped the LP with the vinyl still in the record jacket and, (2) as a result, the jacket had a large (10 CM/4") seam split along the top edge, severe enough to be visible from the front. On 6 August, 2002 I sent an email to Rock Revelations informing them of the situation and asking what they'd be willing to do to rectify their packaging error; I even offered to accept a compromised solution of some sort. On 12 August, 2002 Rob at Rock Revelations sent me a reply saying, in short, that he would not do anything to correct the matter or strike a compromise because, in his estimation, I waited too long (just over three weeks) to bring the issue to their attention. (I explained to Rob that I had been traveling on business and had only just opened the parcel upon my return.) I'm out the £37.50 for an LP (jacket) that, despite being billed as 'M,' was actually in 'G' ('Good') condition. From www.worldwidewax.com/grading.htm: "Good (G), Good Plus (G+): A jacket or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine... Defects will start to overwhelm the subject." To make matters worse, Rob refused to even acknowledge that Rock Revelations shipped the LP with the vinyl still in the sleeve. To summarize, for reasons of unethical grading/false advertising, awful shipping practices, and still worse customer service, I would strongly advise anyone thinking about purchasing an item from Rock Revelations to give your money instead to a dealer with an ounce of ethics and integrity, two essential components of a successful business that Rock Revelations callously eschews. |
