| CUSTOMER REVIEWS: | 4/5 - fluid ounces - big notebook for easy piano Wow, what a gem! I found this in a used CD store and thought I'd give it a listen, since I'm a piano player and the title caught my interest. I knew within 30 seconds of hitting "play" that I'd be buying this CD. What great talent and creativity. Don't let the title fool you- this is no "piano muzak" CD - it really rocks, with lots of grungy guitar, unconventional chord changes, piano "solos" popping up unexpectedly, etc. I haven't really analyzed the lyrics (who cares?). I'm trying to think of who to compare them to, but nothing quite works. Pfish meets early Queen maybe? Not quite. Maybe Queen meets the Beetles? Maybe just "Fluid ounces". . . Buy and enjoy.
5/5 - Sadly Still Unknown This is a great band from Murfreesboro, TN that should have been big but because of fate, the stars, and circumstance never was. Truthfully, I think part of the problem was that their record label never really put that much behind them but that's besides the point. This record is fabulous. There is no more and no less that one can say except that you should buy this. It's a great mix of wit, intelligence, and excellent musicianship.
4/5 - Phenomenal Piano Pop Fun, catchy pop from a meglomaniacal piano prodigy. A Ben Folds Five kind of sound, only much, much better. Terrific instrumentation, great lyrics. Also, see them live any chance you get- they put on a terrific show! |
