"Customer Account" now on-line! (10th February 2006) After several months in development and testing, we're pleased to announce our new "Customer Account" area, where it's possible for customers to view their orders, contact sellers, leave feedback, manage their "Alert Agent" searches, and much more! To use the customer account area, it is necessary for customers to first register an account within the system. This is easy to do, is completely free of charge and all details held are stored securely on our server and are protected by SSL technology. Once you have registered, any future orders, correspondence with sellers, or feedback messages will be available within the customer account area. You will be able to contact sellers, update your order information (for example by changing payment details), as well as leave feedback messages about the sellers that you have ordered from. We hope that you will find the new customer account area both easy to use and a valuable addition to the netsoundsmusic.com web site! New Server Farm (13th April 2005) Yes, yet again the phenomenal growth that we're experiencing has required the migration of the netsoundsmusic.com web sites to another new server farm - just over a year on from our last upgrade and we'd outgrown that equipment already! The migration took just over 24 hours to complete with minimal downtime experienced and search speeds are now lightening fast again with the general responsiveness of the site also greatly improved! Exclude back / special items from your search results (5th February 2005) You can now change your "preferences" to exclude back / special order items from your search results. This enables you to view only items that the sellers have indicated that they have in stock. "Preferences" new options added (5th July 2004) You can now change your "preferences" to view and order through netsoundsmusic.com in your own currency! There are also many other options that you can set to effect the way the netsoundsmusic.com site works, including changing the colour scheme and changing the way search results appear. "Power Search" now available (6th April 2004) Our "Power Search" facility is now available! This allows advanced searches to be completed, such as being able to search on the "Artist" and "Title" fields at the same time, or searching on listings available from sellers in your own country only. Preferences for both the standard and power searches can be set by clicking on the "Preferences" link in the top right of your screen. We'll be adding some more features to the "Power Search" over the next few weeks or so. netsoundsmusic.com site re-launch (5th January 2004) As can be seen, we have been working hard for the past 12 months on completely re-designing the netsoundsmusic.com web site and systems. The new web site is a complete re-write of the old web site, and has been brought up to date design-wise, whilst keeping what we regard as the traditional netsoundsmusic.com layout. We hope that you like the new interface, please let us know if you have any suggestions or comments. We have tested the new site extensively before making it "live", however there may be a small number of problems that will require fixing over the next few weeks or so, please bear with us. Eventually the old web site will be taken off-line, but for time being they will be run in parallel. New Server Farm (Again!!) (1st December 2003) Well so much for the "New Server Farm" of March 2003! We've completely out grown it already! Despite building in what we thought were significant amounts of "future proofing", we find ourselves nearly up to full capacity on our current equipment already! With the pending launch of the new improved web site, we thought it prudent to therefore migrate our web sites and systems once again to bigger and better equipment. And this time we've gone completely OTT with the specifications, so we're hoping that the new hardware will be up to handling our snow-balling growth for quite some time! New Server Farm (16th March 2003) In preparation for some major changes to the netsoundsmusic.com web site and associated systems we have recently built a new server farm incorporating all new state of the art computer and communications equipment. Migration of the current netsoundsmusic.com web site and systems to the new facility will be complete by March 21st 2003. Users should see a marked improvement in search speed and general web site response times once the move has completed. Hopefully there will be minimum (if any) downtime during this period. Various System Upgrades (31st December 2001) We have recently completed some essential maintenance and improvements to our systems to improve the speed of page displays and search times. The back end ordering system has also been upgraded to handle the higher volumes of orders that netsoundsmusic.com is now processing. Browse Seller Databases (October 2001) You can now BROWSE an individual sellers offerings as opposed to searching on them. Simply visit the "Sellers On netsoundsmusic.com" page of the netsoundsmusic.com site, click on the seller you are interested in, then follow the "BROWSE / SEARCH DATABASE" link. Search Engine Upgrade (18th April 2001) We have just launched our new style search system that allows a much finer degree of control over searches. Please visit our "Search Tips" page for tips on improving your searches, and let us know what you think of the new facility! System Upgrades (14th March 2001) We have recently completed upgrades to our Internet connection link and this has now resulted in major improvements in response times to our web site. We have also upgraded our hosting servers, back end database server and email servers and our now seeing a huge increase in performance and reliability on all our systems. Thank you for your patience during the interim period and please accept our apologies for any problems that may have occured. The results of all of these upgrades should hopefully now be evident!
