How to search for music.
It is very easy to search for music at netsoundsmusic.com. Items can be searched for by artist name, by item title, by label, or by genre - simply click on the "Search" menu item and you will be taken to our search system. Due to the large amount of items in the netsoundsmusic.com database it may take a few moments to display the results of your searches. Instructions for searching can be found here

Getting more information about an item.
Remember that netsoundsmusic.com is a marketplace not a seller so we only keep the information that you see on the site. If you require further details about an item you must contact the seller directly using the contact form available on the "Seller Details" page for the relevent seller.

netsoundsmusic.com' sellers range from smaller part-time dealers who may only trade in the evenings and at weekends, to larger full time retailers who trade on a full time basis.

The best way to determine the type of seller you're dealing with is to read the seller details which can be found on our "Sellers On netsoundsmusic.com" page. Here you can also read any comments that have been made about the seller in question. You can also get a good idea of the type of seller you are dealing with by looking at the size of their database.

Abbreviations.
Abbreviations for the different types of media that our sellers have will varyslightly from seller to seller but generally they will all stick to easily understandable abbreviations. The following are typical of those that we encourage our sellers to use:-

Condition of items.
netsoundsmusic.com encourages sellers to use the standard Record Collector grading system to describe the condition of their stock. If you are not familiar with this system then our sellers will be pleased to advise you further. If a seller uses their own grading system check their seller details before ordering. The following are typical of the abbreviations that we encourage our sellers to use:-

MMintMust be in perfect condition with no audible or visible defects whatsoever. The record and cover/sleeve should be exactly as brand new.
NMNear MintAlmost mint but has one or two minor visible marks on the cover/sleeve or surface with sound quality remaining perfect.
EXExcellentNot quite perfect. There may a slight chance of minor deterioration in sound quality. The cover/sleeve may show slight wear.
VGVery GoodThe surface and cover/sleeve shows visible signs of wear due to the fact that it has been played on a regular basis. There will be some audible surface noise but it will not effect the listening experience.
GGoodThe sound quality has deteriorated due to having been played often. The cover/sleeve and surface will show considerable signs of wear and tear with some possible damage.
FFairHas been neglected, but is still playable. There will be major audible defects such as loud clicks or jumping. The cover/sleeve maybe badly damaged.
PPoorTechnically playable, but with seriousdeterioration in condition and sound quality. The cover/sleeve will be badly damaged.
VPVery PoorIn terrible condition and absolutely unplayable. Would only be of use as a last resort to complete a collection.

Ordering and payment.
Remember that netsoundsmusic.com is not a vendor but a marketplace for many sellers. Think of it as a shopping mall full of record shops. Ordering through netsoundsmusic.com will be like ordering through a conventional mail-order outlet. Once you have used our shopping system to select items that you would like to purchase you will complete a secure on-line order form, enter your payment details and press "Authorise" to submit your order. Pressing "Authorise" will then have your payment details securely stored until either the seller or netsoundsmusic.com retrieves them.

Some sellers on netsoundsmusic.com do not process their own credit / debit card payments. If this is the case netsoundsmusic.com might process the credit / debit card payment on their behalf. Please note that your credit / debit card will not be charged until the seller has confirmed that the item is available and the total price to charge.

If the seller that you have ordered items from does process their own credit / debit card payments, they will log in to our secure management facilities in order to retrieve your details.

If you have ordered items and have chosen to pay using a different payment type such as PayPal, Cash, Cheque / Check, Postal Order, Money Order, NoChex or Bank Transfer, then the seller will contact you shortly after you have placed your order with information on how to send your payment to them.

Please remember the following:-

Email addresses.
netsoundsmusic.com requires that you have a valid email address in order to place an order through our system. This is used to uniquely identify you and your orders. It is also used to notify you of any change of status of your order.

All items are shipped directly to you by the seller.
To minimise the cost and time that it takes for items to reach you each seller will send your order directly to you. Orders from different sellers can NOT be combined toreduce shipping charges because they will be individually despatched. This is important to remember if you are ordering items from more than one seller.

You must contact the seller directly with any questions.
If you have any questions about an item or the status of an order you must contact the seller directly by using the contact form available on the "Seller Details" page for the relevent seller. Time taken to respond will vary from seller to seller depending on time restraints.

You may be charged in a different currency to your own.
Not all sellers on netsoundsmusic.com are based in the UK and therefore if you are buying from a seller who is outside of the UK you may be charged in the sellers' local currency. If you are paying by credit / debit card this will then be converted to your own currency when it appears on your card statement at the prevailing exchange rate.

Currency fluctuations.
Although you will be viewing the netsoundsmusic.com web site in your chosen currency, your orders may not be charged in the same currency, so please allow for fluctuations in both exchange rates and the prices that the sellers have uploaded.

Contacting netsoundsmusic.com.
Usually you shouldn't have any need to contact netsoundsmusic.com directly. You should only contact us if one of the following is true:-

1) You have not heard from a seller within a week of an enquiry.
2) You have particularly good or bad feedback to offer about a seller that you do not feel can be entered on the netsoundsmusic.com feedback system.
3) You have questions or feedback about netsoundsmusic.com.
4) You have a dispute with a seller which has not been resolved to your satisfaction.
5) You believe that a seller has acted dishonestly or fraudulently and should be removed from netsoundsmusic.com.

Forms of payment.
Sellers choose which payment types they are able to accept when they register with netsoundsmusic.com. You can view what payment types each seller can accept on their seller details page. Orders can be placed using many different payment types where available - Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Delta, Maestro, Eurocard, JCB, Connect, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Electron, PayPal, Cash, Cheque / Check, Postal Order, Money Order, NoChex and Bank Transfer. Larger sellers will be more likely to accept credit / debit card payments themselves and in this case netsoundsmusic.com will allow the seller access to your payment details via our secire management facilities. netsoundsmusic.com sometimes processes credit / debit card payments for sellers who are unable to do so themselves. If you have ordered items and have elected to pay using a different payment type such as PayPal, Cash, Cheque / Check, Postal Order, Money Order, NoChex or Bank Transfer, then the seller will contact you directly shortly after you have placed your order with information on how to send your payment to them. This is all completely automated and all stages of the order will be confirmed back to you.

Credit / debit card verification
If your credit / debit card has a security number (verification code) on the reverse, this should be entered in the space provided on the order form. This is usually a 3 or 4 digit number and means that we can verify that the card belongs to the customer who is placing the order. If this number is not entered on the order form customers run the risk of having their order declined by the seller. If no number is present, please enter "000". Please click here for an example.

Shipping rates.
The prices advertised on netsoundsmusic.com do not include shipping and handling / postage and packing. Buyers are deemed to have made themselves aware of the appropriate shipping rates prior to placing an order. Details of sellers' shipping rates can be found on the Seller Details page on the netsoundsmusic.com site, or by contacting the seller directly by using the contact form available on the "Seller Details" page for the relevent seller.

Special terms imposed by sellers.
Buyers should make themselves aware of any special terms or conditions that a seller imposes, prior to placing an order. For example a seller may have a minimum charge that would be imposed whether or not the order reached that value. These special terms will be detailed on the Seller Details page.

Location of sellers.
netsoundsmusic.com accepts applications from sellers based in any country in the world and provided we believe that they can adhere to our terms and conditions, they are welcome to advertise their product on the netsoundsmusic.com site.

Seller status
A seller's status can be checked by looking at the "Seller Details" page. There are 3 different seller statuses as follows:-

Active - The seller has a catalogue displayed on netsoundsmusic.com and is fulfilling orders / responding to enquiries.

Inactive - The seller's catalogue has been temporarily removed from netsoundsmusic.com and they are not currently fulfilling orders or responding to enquiries.

Holiday - The seller has a catalogue on netsoundsmusic.com and orders can be placed but they are temporarily unable to deal with any orders, so there may be a delay before a response is received.

The shopping trolley.
The netsoundsmusic.com shopping system is easy to use. When you have decided on an item to buy click on the "Buy" icon and the item will be placed in your shopping trolley. When you "checkout" you will be asked to fill in your personal information and to provide your payment details. Finally you will click "Authorise" to complete the order. This will process your order as previously explained and will give the seller or netsoundsmusic.com permission to charge your credit / debit card.

How soon will my order be sent?
Shipping times will vary between sellers. Larger organisations may take longer if they are receiving many more orders; part time sellers may only despatch in the evenings and at weekends. Orders from overseas will also take longer than orders placed with sellers based in your own country. You should check with the seller(s) if you are concerned with the length of time for shipping / delivery. If an item seems to be taking an unacceptably long time to be shipped then you should contact the seller directly by using the contact form available on the "Seller Details" page for the relevent seller. If however you do not feel that you are receiving a satisfactory response from a seller or feel that the service was unacceptably slow or poor you may contact netsoundsmusic.com who will endeavour to sort out the problem. Sellers may only advertise items that they have in stock, or that are available for shipping within a reasonable amount of time - therefore delays are minimised and there is less chance of an item not being available.

Cancellation.
Once payment has been received for any order placed through netsoundsmusic.com you may incur a charge if the payment has to be returned for any reason.

Confirmation of orders.
As soon as you have placed your order through the netsoundsmusic.com site, you will receive an order confirmation from netsoundsmusic.com, thanking you for your order, and detailing the items ordered, and from which seller. You should keep hold of this confirmation should you need to track your order at a later date. Shortly after the order has been processed you will receive a further confirmation directly from the seller advising you of the total cost including shipping. You can then sit back and wait for your item(s) to arrive.

Seller feedback.
You can and should leave feedback about the sellers that you have purchased from as this helps build up a profile of how good the seller is. Negative feedback is a "last resort" and should only be left if all attempts to resolve the situation with a seller have failed. Please keep feedback factual, to the point and free from bad or abusive language or it may not be accepted. Once feedback has been posted it can't be amended or removed.

The seller feedback system is graded in such a way that their averages are calculated and formed into a "star" rating system. Any negative feedback does not count towards the sellers rating after it is 90 days old. This allows their feedback rating to improve as they improve their service.

The star ratings will give you an idea of how good a particular seller is. A seller with a five star rating is deemed to be better than one with a lower rating, so you should use this information accordingly.

netsoundsmusic.com Guarantee.
netsoundsmusic.com guarantees all orders that are processed by netsoundsmusic.com where payments are collected from the customer by netsoundsmusic.com, on behalf of the seller. This means that should a dispute arise between a seller and a buyer, netsoundsmusic.com reserve the right to refund the customer's card and claim the refunded monies back from the seller. To receive assistance from netsoundsmusic.com under the terms of the guarantee, a period of 28 days must have elapsed ffrom the date that the customer's credit / debit card was charged.

In any case the buyer must be able to demonstrate that they have tried to amicably resolve the situation, before requesting netsoundsmusic.com assistance.

This is a service netsoundsmusic.com provides on behalf of the customer, not the seller. Not all sellers elect to have netsoundsmusic.com process their customer's orders.

netsoundsmusic.com does not guarantee orders for sellers who process their own payments. They collect payment directly from the customer.

Refunds.
If you order an item and are not satisfied with it please check the seller's returns policy before sending the item back. If the item has been received and is not as described then legally you are entitled to return the item for a full refund. If however you wish to return the item due to a change of mind or a mistake you may be liable for a re-stocking charge. In either case you should check with the seller before returning the item.

If you believe that a seller has unfairly refused to accept an item back please email us and we will try to resolve the situation.

Credit card fraud.
Fraud inevitably plays a part in on-line commerce and music is no exception. However it is a fact that shopping on-line is actually safer than using your credit card in a shop or a restaurant, where you are handing your details over to an unknown party. On-line fraud is far from significant enough to discourage on-line shopping. netsoundsmusic.com actively encourage buyers to place their orders through our secure server to minimise any risk. netsoundsmusic.com will only accept orders placed through the netsoundsmusic.com website - we do not accept orders by phone, fax or post.
